Royal Netherlands Marines assigned to the frigate HNLMS De Zeven Provincien (FFG 802) fast rope from a Lynx helicopter onto the amphibious assault ship USS Nassau’s (LHA 4) flight deck during a Visit, Board, Search and Seizure (VBSS) exercise. The exercise provided an opportunity for both navies to train in a combined coalition environment to form a more effective and cohesive force.
